Quick wiring Question

I have a V8 with smart coils and a Fuel Tech FT 550. I was going to run channels 2 through 5 to power the coils. I would think I would need a input from the ECU to do this correctly. I have a Blink marine 12 button pannel as well as a 5 button FT unit. I want a button start and not sure if the FT is better for this or just use the Blink Marine. With the blink I could start with a button and then just turn of the coils. But I would think the ECU still needs to talk but not sure yet. Thank guys

I am not sure exactly what you are asking for, but if your starter signal wire is fed from the chassis then obviously the PDM would likely control it. Also your coils are powered at all times the "key" is in the run state. The ECU will control them by grounding them to trigger. Their is no input required from the ECU in this instance, unless you were setting up some kind of Main Relay logic that would require a ready signal from the ECU. Also 4 channels seems very excessive for Coil Power. That's roughly 80Amps of continous current. Coils aren't drawing when the ECU is not charging them. If you can be more clear on exactly what your issue is and your desired result I could possibly help more.
