Grayhill Status Flash for Fault
It would be beneficial if when using Grayhill Keypads the 'RED' status light would flash during fault condition (or provide an option to enable this for any keypad). If you are using State 3 and an output status goes to fault, the LED becomes ambiguous. For example this means that you can only use two states and dedicate the third LED to fault.. If it were to flash on fault it would allow you to use all three states and still have proper feedback.

Hi Christopher, We have thought about this problem for quite a while. The Grayhill keypads we have here only have orange LED indicators, not green and red etc. You need to be careful having a flashing LED to indicate a fault, because you can also have the situation where the LED is flashing because the output is flashing - for instance with an indicator/ hazard light. This is why we dedicated LED 3 to indicate faults, and then LED 1 and 2 are for the status'. A better way to do it may be to have LED 1,2 and 3 indicate the button states, and then if there is a fault, all three LEDs flash. I would be interested to hear your thoughts, and how your keypad button LED colours are laid out.
