Remove dependency: keypad state to keypad color state

Hello Georg,

I know you are at work for the new PDM28. And I am awaiting the new config software 😊

Two years ago this request was made:

I will extend the request a bit:

(a) It would be nice the "color states" are independent of the button "switch states".

For example switching the coolant water radiator could be function driven and for safety on a button.

So it would be good to see the radiator is switched on during the function, maybe the output is on but the button is in of state.

Or an other case would be turning indicators. On default (like in normal cars) the control light for the turning indicator will light up if the hazard function is on too.

Today there is one color state with one button state. Two color states with two button states.

But it is possible to select all four (plus off state, plus fault state) states, it will bring up a benefit.

Today the first "on" state wouldn't be shown if the button is in "off" state.

(b) The other thing from the previous request is the "Fault State" indication. Today it is fixed to a single output. But if I switch two outputs with one button, it should be aviable to use a generic function to indicate "[output 1 fault] or [output 2 fault]"

I wish a nice start to the new year. 😀

Hello Georg,

I wish you a good start to the new year. May the PDM28 come a success 😀

"I might have misunderstood, but you can still set a keypad button like this. This means that the button will light green when the output is turned on, regardless of the keypad button state."

I think I tested this 🙄 But the light wasn't turned on in the off state. I will take a test, and reply. "In the PDM28 software, the set up is the same except that you have the full variable list available for the LED condition instead of just the output status"

This is aviable in the current version 1.1.5. So everybody can control the light with a generic function.

But it would be nice to have all three color states, even if there is only one button state. 😊

You don't need a different "user interface". All states are visible, but the are disabled today.

This idea will change the meaning in this "Off State", "State 1" on the LED Colour coloumn.

I understood, what you mean: "all while keeping the software 'easy' to use. For many people, this set up is already too complicated." 🤐

Just an other idea: may it possible to make a "deactivation switch" for the colour control? So it may possible to build up a custom CAN-message and take the control in my own hands?

The switch doesn't care other, if they don't need it. 🤔
