Permanent Power and CANBUS
I have two PDMs and I intended to leave one permanently powered for things like central locking. The second would be powered on a switch along with the ECU.
I'm finding that the can bus doesn't connect properly unless I connect to the permanently powered pdm with the laptop.
Is there any way to get around this issue? I'm assuming that the permanently powered pdm is marking the bus as dead when it can't contact the other devices.

As I think about it, I can't think of anything else that needs permanent live so reckon I'll just fuse the central locking/alarm and keep the PDMs on a switch.
