Hi, I have asked this before, will there be a new firmware with improvements to the wakeup time for PDM15? It was not like this when I bought it, i think it was firmware 1..12 or something like that. Then a 2 second delay occured after it gets power, it´s very annoying Is there anything that can be done in the software to speed things up ?
Keith: Yes, that is an option for a racecar ich (too have a kill switch I mean) but for a street car that would require the PDM to have constant 12v from the battery ... and then conditions on all input/outputs to only enable with some other condition (keypad button for example) ...... it is of course possible, but far from ideal. I would like to skip having a kill switch

Hi there brains trust, I'm converting a car to electric and I want to use the PDM 25 to implement a few safety measures. I'm hoping someone can guide me on how to configure my outputs on a PDM 25 for the following:
I want to ensure that the High Voltage system can't be activated unless the driver has their foot on the brake pedal.
I want to ensure that the driver cannot select forward or reverse unless they have their foot on the brake pedal.
I've tried using an AND function where HV out can't be triggered unless the HV switch has been on and the brake pedal is also pressed, but when the brake pedal stops being pressed, the HV system shuts down. I looked at counters and general functions, but could not work it out. Sadly the user manual gives no example that would help.
Has anyone found…
Hi,
You could possible set a counter which has an increment logic of
Input x (hv switch) status AND input y (brake) status.
Then use that counter status in your output logic.
Reset can be when the counter gets to 2, or via some other means. If you can post your config file that would be awesome

Hi folks,
I notice that in Downloads/Software there is a new PDM 15/25/35 manual issued June 25. The new version looks like a significant update to the older version (great), but it references a new software version for the configurator (1.1.7) with additional features, that I cannot find anywhere in the downloads section.
Is there new software with more features that I just can't find?
Hi, we are just getting things in place for the v2 PDM15/25/35 which will be released shortly. The software and firmware is not compatible with the current PDM15/25 model

Hi all Trying to configure variable intermittent wipe on my PDM15 My windscreen washer switch is also a potentiometer for intermittent speed. I have this set as an input to my PDM but trying to figure out how to make it vary the intermittant speed is proving a challenge. Anybody done this before? If so any pointers on what I need to do to get the variable voltage from the potentiometer to change my intermittant speed? Cheers Matt
im in the middle of doing the same thing with one of the rotary switches on the blink 15 pad .. but im having a worse time making the park function work correctly to stop the wipers at the bottom of windshield when off... but i planned on making about 3 timer sets to do the intermittent

Just finished installing PDM25 system, updated to 1.1.6 via usb beforehand, connected power and ground keypad lite up initially. Connected laptop to PDM, loaded input/output configurations I had made previously. When looking at system information, battery voltage started at 1.68 Volts and slowly went up to 5.61 Volts and never went past that. Measured voltage at input stud and 12v ign switch pin both reading 13v. Ground pin reads no resistance, even added ground direct to battery. Outputs are receiving same voltage, and therefore not powering on. Any ideas?
HI Chris, Can you let me know exactly how you have the groud pin wired and also the ignition input?

Utilizing PDM15. Checked all grounds and connections are good, battery has been charged and tested good. We were seeing an inconsistent voltage drop while monitoring battery voltage in the software. This would cause the pdm to power off and interupt startup sequence, sometimes i could get the car to start by holding the key down to start. Some times we saw a dip down to less than 1 volt while monitoring battery voltage in the pdm software. We were also using oscilloscope to do additional monitoring at the post of the pdm. The scope didn't see as big of a drop as the software was reading though (about 6v). Battery and grounds are all 0gauge wiring, and the car has a relatively simple setup. I also verified that we aren't tripping any of the set fuses to cause a shitdown. Anyone have any recommendations as to where we can go…
I can confirm my issue seemed to be related to be my cars stock keyed ignition cylinder that i was using. We switched over to using a toggle switch for 'key on' power and then a push button for starter. After switching to using that setup the issue was resolved.

Hi Guys, so somehow I messed up and ordered my Blink Marine 12 buttons keypad with the J1939 protocol loaded in. I am able to see the Can data under the canbus analyser when I set my bitrate to 250kbps but the keypad show as disconnected and no buttons or LED is active. The ID in the analyser is 0x18EFFF21.
Using the CAN Transmit function of my PDM configurator, how can I change the Protocol from J1939 to Canopen? Keypad is the PKP-2600-SI model
Follow the video on our YouTube channel for changing the keypad baud rate. Then instead of sending the baud rate change command, send the j1939 to canopen command found in the keypad user manual

for a motor, is it possible for the PDM25 to detect a current drop of X value for example and cut power to the output rather than blow the fuse?
a momentary input trigger should be able to latch the output on/off and when the current of end of travel occurs to just cut the output to 0v (obviously triggering the fuse will make the output not functional till pdm reset, i just want it to switch off the output until next trigger)
*power windows*
thanks
u can also set in output parameters or under generic function create a line that says output x current < x. so u just select the output Ur wanting to monitor the current output of and add that in and add a < saying the selected output current is less than the selected output and add your amp limit to the far right box in drop menu. turn on the number box and turn off the middle drop-down menu
Hi, Unfortunately the PDMs dont have bluetooth or wifi so there isnt the option to communicate wirelessly
