[PDM 25] Configuring CAN Output to FuelTech FT700 (Data Logging)

We have successfully configured the CAN link to receive data from the FT700 (CAN Input), but we now need to configure the PDM to transmit its data (CAN Output) to the FT700 to create a centralized log on the ECU.

Which PDM CAN Output setting (e.g., predefined stream, generic stream, or DBC export) should be used, and what is the specific CAN ID and message structure we must configure in the PDM to be compatible with the FuelTech FT700's input format?

Our goal is to stream critical PDM data (such as Output_X_Status and Output_X_Current) so that the FT700 can capture them in its own datalog.

This is where you will need to do custom CAN input to the FT700 and custom CAN outputs from the PDM. I have not worked with an FT700 before so I am not too familiar with it, but I can assist with CAN outputs on the PDM side.

[PDM 25] Activation of High-Current Loads (Over 30A)

We need to operate high-current devices (e.g., $40\text{A}$ starter motor solenoid, high-flow fuel pumps) that exceed the $10\text{A}$ and $20\text{A}$ continuous limits of the PDM's individual outputs.

What is the recommended method and corresponding PDM logic to activate a large external relay (e.g., $40\text{A}$ or $70\text{A}$ capacity)?

We intend to use a low-current PDM output (e.g., $10\text{A}$ output) only to supply power to the coil of the external relay, allowing the relay to handle the full load current directly from the main battery.

You can pair outputs for greater amperage. Make sure the configs are identical.

If you prefer to have an external relay, wire your output to the 86 and ground 85. Add your logic to turn on relay.

[PDM 25] Output Activation Without Ignition Input (Persistent Output)

We are attempting to activate an output (Output X) persistently when the main battery is connected, without relying on the Ignition/Key-on Input (ignition on).

We confirmed that forcing the output ON works successfully while the PDM is connected via USB (using the Test Outputs feature).

However, when running on battery power alone (USB disconnected), the output fails to remain active. We cannot find a direct "Always ON" or TRUE setting that bypasses all other logic, including a potential dependence on the Pós-Chave line. What is the correct logical function to use to ensure an output remains ON whenever the PDM is powered, regardless of the Ignition Input status?

On race cars I wire the ignition on to main cut off switch. If you want an output always on, set logic to true equals true. the PdM needs power on the ignition input for the outputs to work.

[PDM 25] Pull-up Resistor Visibility & Activation

We are configuring an input for Active Low (Ground Switching from a FuelTech ECU). We cannot find a visible option to enable the Pull-up Resistor in the Inputs tab or the General settings. Does the PDM 25 V3 automatically enable the Pull-up resistor when Active Level: Active Low is selected? If not, where is this hardware setting located?

The inputs on this PDM25 V1 have a built in 200K pull up and a 40K pull down always enabled. This will settle the input voltage at around 1.5V. You can then use a low side signal to trigger it with the active low setting enabled.

If the FT loads down the input to the PDM, you may need to add an additional stronger pull up resistor of around 10K. Alternatively you can use the high side output on the FT if you have any spare.

[PDM 25] Persistent Wi-Fi Connectivity Issue (Station Mode)

We are unable to establish functional Wi-Fi communication in Station Mode.

We have confirmed the correct SSID and Password for our shop's network. We have tested both DHCP (setting PDM IP to 0.0.0.0) and Static IP (e.g., 192.168.X.X), but the connection remains unusable or fails. Crucially, the PDM Configurator does not provide fields for Subnet Mask or Gateway. What are the assumed default values for the Gateway/Subnet Mask in Station Mode, and what is the correct procedure for forcing DHCP?

WiFi was a functionality of the PDM25+ that is no longer in production and is replaced with the V2 PDM25/35

PDM28 PWM on light bulb

Hi All,

I have a PDM28 running all functions of a 1972 Corvette. It works beautifully, but I have run across something I want to do that seems very basic, but I don't see an obvious answer.

My rear parking lights are too bright and I want to run them at 50% duty cycle. I don't think I need to map this to another variable, I just want them at 50% when they are on. What is the output configuration I need to set?

I'm wondering if I will be able to use this OEM wiper switch. It would use 2 inputs to the PDM - one would be variable resistance to + or - depending on how the switch gets wired, and the other would just be for high speed activation. On low or delay the resistance would vary depending on the switch position. I do not yet know the resistance values, I'll have to get a switch to test.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

I found some diagnostic information on the wiper switch that says the range of resistance should be between 680 ohms and 450 K ohms between low speed and max delay. Will this be an acceptable range to work? If not, I should be able to read the switch resistance via the Holley Dominator ECU and feed the resistance value to the PDM via CAN bus.

Corrupted firmware PDM 25 V2

I don't see any firmware downloads on your website. Can you give me access to them? Additionally, the instructions that came in the box appear to be for the V1. The directions I found on your website Version 1 - 23/6/25 also appear to be for the V1. Are there new instructions for the V2? I ask because the windows on the V2 don't looks the same as in the instructions.
